Alongside chaplaincy at Time to Talk Befriending offers spiritual and emotional support to older people who wish to receive it, alongside our core befriending services.
It exists to meet an identified need for whole person care, supporting people through change, loss and the later stages of life, in ways that feel respectful, inclusive and meaningful.
Our chaplaincy approach has been informed by established community chaplaincy models, including learning from the Anna Chaplaincy movement, and has developed over time in response to the needs of the older people we support. Chaplaincy is always offered, never imposed, and is shaped around each individual’s beliefs, values and life story.
Rooted in long term relationships and local knowledge, Alongside chaplaincy enables the team to journey with people at home and in the community. Whether through listening, reflection, prayer, signposting or simply being present, our focus is on compassion, dignity and care that meets people where they are.

Your donations and support helps to change lives and overcome loneliness.
Could you support us financially? In doing so you will enable us to positively connect with older people who feel ‘invisible’, ‘forgotten’, and ‘alone’.
Regular monthly or one off donations make a significant difference to our Charity.
We need the generous support of our community, both big and small to improve the lives of society's most lonely, isolated and vulnerable older people.
